Delicatesse is an Amsterdam based Dj-duo that brings a stimulating bash of Techno, Deep House and Minimal from behind their turntables. The roots of their dark and dirty sound can be found in Berlin, the place where they have found each other in their passionate love for tough electronic music.

These two disarming women are both different and matching, like day and night. Their teamwork is expressed through their musical choices and powerful sound.

Organizations, clubs and events like Amsterdam Dance Event, CLICK, Woodstock 69, Westerunie, Club Air, Barkode, Club NL, Sugar Factory, Magneet Festival, Club Poema, and Café d’Anvers frequently enjoy adding Delicatesse to their programs. Now crossing the borders with gigs in Antwerp, Val Thorens and their beloved Berlin, Delicatesse is ready for their big break.

As any cool kid of the 90′s, Strip Steve grew up listening to californian punk, the passion more or less regular of skateboard, and the art of turntablism. Few scratches and a failure in a rap band after, he remembered how much Armand van Helden, Phoenix & Daft Punk’s videos he used to watch before “Yo MTV rap” started, torn unconsciously his sentimental life, and more his whole existence. He started mixing at 14 with his first turntables, and slowly made parties with his friends in his hometown Bordeaux that mixed every kind of music they found exciting, with always one purpose: that the people had fun very simply.

2007. Steve is now 19 and listening for most to House & Techno. Inspired by Chicago as much as Cologne, his goal is to bring freshness and this newly digested diversity of sounds to the clubs. And he knows how to do that: his dj sets make crashing Chicago House classics (Robert Armani, Dj Pierre, Marshall Jefferson, Armando…), latest Techno Anthems (Boys Noize, Smith n Hack), early 90′s Rave Ufos (this kid has fascination for Prodigy & Bizarre Inc.) or the best raw 12′′ electronic music has ever made (Dance Mania Records, Romanthony, Todd Terry, LFO, Joey Beltram…).

2008. At the beginning of the year Strip Steve releases his first EP “Skip School” on Boysnoize Records. Yet another proof by label boss Alexander Ridha that he supports young & fresh talents. Bookings all over Europe and his first Australia Tour are the result of it. Many artists get interested in his own special sound and remixes for Shadow Dancer (BNR), Van She (Modular) and Outlander (R&S) follow. Another huge milestone in his life takes place in the 2nd half of the year.

Falling in love with the German capital Steve moves from his mum’s house in Bordeaux, to Berlin to life as a free man and start concentrating on his music. During tea time and a short studio session with Boys Noize, Steve participates in the making of a track which will become a huge single (named “Jeffer”) of Ridha’s 2nd album called “Power”.

2009. This year finally the whole world can get inspired by the Strip Steve sound. Every weekend another show. Tokyo, Sydney, Miami, he’s later the support act for the “Boys Noize Power Tour” and whole Europe enjoys his tasteful yet ecstatic sets. During the tour he still finds time to work on banging remixes for artists such as The Faint (BNR), G.L.O.V.E.S. (Bang Gang) , Das Glow (Institubes) and his 9 minute acid banger for Adam Sparkle & Dave P (Satellite of Love).

Although his neighbours freak out, end 2009 Steve can finish his new EP “Delta Disco”. With great feedback from his fans and big support by artists like 2many DJs, Busy P, Erol Alkan, Mylo, Dj Feadz, Boris Dlugosch, Andy & Jaymo (BBC One), Dexpistols, Surkin and Bobmo.

2010. Strip Steve sees some dreams coming true by releasing the remixed version of “Delta Disco”. It features remixes by his masters Ian Pooley & Sedat the Turkish Avenger (Crydamoure) along with his mates Das Glow (Institubes) & Lorenz Rhode, and newcomer Rynecologist.

In 2011 he releases a 2 track EP on BNR digital sublabel, BNR Trax with his french fellow Das Glow. The response on Calcium is very strong, getting 3rd of the Beatport Techno chart, and being played by the likes of Carl Craig, Errorsmith, Laurent Garnier, and many others…
2012 is the year Strip Steve completes his debut album “MICRO MEGA”.

The first extract of it – ”Stomp” – gathered once again the support of very various styles of DJs and had a big impact on clubs all over the world.
The second and first formal single of the album catch everyone by surprise by featuring the Californian dream pop girl duo Puro Instinct, who takes everyone on a dark disco trip to the cosmos.

Another important collaboration takes place in the making of “One Thing”, as he teams up with one of his Chicago House heroes: Robert Owens.
Strip Steve’s first full length ep is a very expected piece by everyone, as in the past he has shown a preference for quality over quantity with his releases. Making a 13 tracks record becomes an exceptional moment to go deeper into the various corners of his creative mind, by showcasing different styles such as Pop, Disco, Funk, House, Techno. A diversity we still feel very strongly in each of his DJ sets, a reflection of his generation. One creative mind bringing all people together.
With a very strong culture and a very obvious talent, Strip Steve didn’t wait long before he distinguished himself from the Internetz crowdz, and proved that he’s surely here to stay. His ecstatic and rich productions put the lightspots of the electronic music lovers on him at lightspeed.

Consistently topping digital download charts and garnering the respect of his peers and fans alike, it seems that the nice guy of dance music doesn’t really live up to his aggressive moniker, until of course you hear the music. Through various guises and even some (still) very top secret projects, there’s not a single club goer from Toulouse to Tanzania over the better part of 15 years that hasn’t experienced Bastian Heerhorst’s aka Fukkk Offf’s signature in your face four to the floor bassline.. and loved every minute of it.

Touring non stop for the last 3 years hasn’t meant any shortage of original releases and remix work, with hit after hit being put out on some of the most respected labels around the planet. From his New York based home label Coco Machete to boutique French electro label Citizen to the big guns at Universal, the demand for his unique impression has slowed down about as much as the demand for his energy filled live shows – it hasn’t.

You want names? How about reworking artists as diverse as the likes of Zombie Nation, Rammstein, Maral Salmassi, Acid Kids, Jan Delay, Cyberpunkers and even legendary icons like Amanda Lepore demanding his services when it comes making a great song into a timeless club anthem.

With a second original LP in the works and no globe trotting break on the horizon, this citizen of the world and Hamburg native shows no signs of letting up. And why should he? When you’re steadily bringing something new and fresh to the easily stale and cliched universe of electronic music neither would you.

SCNTST was born in 1993, but he still looks like a 14-year old boy – in contrary to the adult, progressive sound of his unique techno music. The prodigy grew up in a small village near Munich, listening to a lot of rock music and hanging in the local skate- and snowboard scene. His parents strongly supported his early musical obligation; he began playing drums in his father’s band and acted in the lead role of a musical – only 10 years old. Impressed by a critically acclaimed German movie about techno music, he started teaching himself producing electronic music with Ableton Live in 2010 – without any help. SCNTST rapidly started to develop his own remarkable sound and promised himself to always remain true to his own style. And success wasn’t long in coming: Together with his friend Etnik from Hamburg, he soon released some of his work on a small label in America. At that time he also began to gain live experience – at school parties and small birthday bashes. Slowly but surely his musical style changed from trashy electro to advanced techno, which was very well received on SCNTST’s Soundcloud page.

Maybe it were his early influences like Boys Noize, Tiga, the Warp label or even Hip Hop acts like Tyler the Creator, that made his music so very well attracted by the people. Maybe it is his inimitable production technique, like sampling sound with an old video camera. Or it is his passion for music that makes him sitting at home in the middle of summer and producing in-your-face techno tracks. Anyway, the people loved his new stuff, and after several recommendations on Twitter, he got in contact with Boys Noize, who liked the music from the young Munich boy.

Sounds like a normal new artist story? But one thing is for sure: SCNTST is not normal. He is sick. He is avantgarde. He still lives at his parent’s house. And he probably is the only artist at Boysnoize Records, who has been to a club only one time – and hated it. In fact, it was a mainstream commercial club for people from 16 years old. And SCNTST is neither mainstream nor commercial.

Acting all the years behind the curtains releasing stuff on small labels this guy has got quite a reputation in the underground blogcommunity before his final breakthrough. The deciding moment in his career was when Boys Noize got to know his music. He decided quickly to sign the talented artist and to bring out some of his tracks as soon as possible.
On his BNR debut he presents a four track EP to show his overall production skills and love for the rough, romantic and sometimes dark sounds. Four tracks between Techno & Electronica giving a great insight into what’s making the kids go crazy not just on the dancefloors. The EP is already supported by nameable artists like Mr. Oizo, Brodinksi, Crookers, DJ Mehdi, Mixhell, Shadow Dancer Djedjotronic and Strip Steve to name a few.

Die geht ab wie SCHMITZKATZE….!

Jenseits des DJ-Pults ist sie zart und handzahm, aber hinter den Decks kommt eine völlig andere Seite von ihr zum Vorschein – da wird das Kätzchen zum Raubtier und fährt ordentlich die Krallen aus. Man mag es kaum glauben, aber in der Brust der zierlichen Wahl-Berlinerin schlägt das Herz einer wilden Bass-Bestie. In Ihren Sets zündet die Berliner Bass-Queen musikalisches Boxen-Dynamit verschiedenster Sound-Couleur und komponiert mit ausgefeiltem Mix-Händchen aus Elektro, House, Techno, Fidget und Dubstep ihr ganz eigenes, hochexplosives TNT. Das Ziel heißt Eskalation, die Messlatte ist der Dancefloor – und der muss mindestens genau so abgehen wie sie selbst.

Ordentlich ins Schwitzen gebracht hat SCHMITZKATZE mit ihrem fulminanten Maximal-Mix bisher bereits scharenweise Raver vom hohen Norden bis in den tiefen Süden. Bei ihren Streifzügen durch die deutschen Clubs gab sie sich als eine der wenigen weiblichen DJs in der Elektro-Szene nicht nur mit illustren Größen wie Fukkk Offf, Designer Drugs, Dumme Jungs und Dirty Disco Youth die Klinke in die Hand, sondern teilte sich auch schon eine Bühne mit Birdy Nam Nam und den gefeierten Crookers – und das war erst der Anfang ihres Raubzuges durch die deutsche Clublandschaft, denn die Katze lässt das Raven nicht! Ihre Mission: bringing pussy back into bass!

Nicht jeder elektronische Act muss eine Mission haben. „Die Welt von schlechter Musik befreien“ – oft gehört in diversen Biografien, doch Dieses oder Ähnliches liegt den zwei Berlinern fern. Soll doch jeder selbst entscheiden, mit welcher Musik auf dem iPod und im Club er glücklich wird. So sind die zwei Berliner also vor fünf Jahren komplett missionslos angetreten und wollten einfach nur Spaß haben. Und den sieht man ihnen auf der Bühne an. Positive Spannungen prägen ihre DJ-Sets. Von satten Elektro Tunes über Techno zu House findet alles seinen Platz – „Hauptsache es grooved“. Und das kommt an: Metropolen wie Barcelona, Turin, Istanbul oder auch Bangkok stehen auf dem Tourplan der zwei Jungs.

Und wenn sie mal nicht persönlich vor Ort sein können, so kann man ihre Musik zumindest von anderen Leuten gespielt hören. Radio FM4 Wien, Flux FM Berlin und BBC Radio1 London vertrauen immer wieder auf ihre Mixe oder Tracks und auch Kollegen wie Malente, Mr. Flash oder Kissy Sell Out spielen ihre Tracks in ihren Sets.

Ende 2011 haben sie ihre „5 Years The Sexinvaders Tour“ erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Neben neuen Veröffentlichungen steht 2012 auch wieder massives Touren auf dem Plan. Auch nach fünf gemeinsamen Jahren haben die zwei weder Motivation noch Frische eingebüßt! So sieht alles danach aus, als ob 2012 wohl erneut ein missionsloses aber erfolgreiches Jahr für The Sexinvaders wird!

Ein neuer aufgehender Stern am Audiolith-Himmel? Könnte man denken, aber Rampue ist schon viel länger dabei. Derzeit ist er sehr aktiv mit dem Elektromusikprojekt Plemo. Mitgemischt hat er allerdings schon bei vielen weiteren Projekten: Ira Atari, Egotronic, Frittenbude, Juri Gagarin und und und. Irgendwie sind überall seine Finger im Spiel.

Musikalisch ist er ganz klar in der Elektro-Ecke angesiedelt. Das ist unüberhörbar. Aber ebenfalls unüberhörbar ist: Da ist noch mehr! Rampue ist mehr als Elektro. Rampue ist Bass, Techno aber auch Soul, kreativ und einfühlsam. Und dabei immer auf der Suche. Auf der Suche nach Neuem, nach Anderem, nach tanzbaren Beats ohne Limit. Das alles gibt uns nur eine Ahnung dessen, was da noch kommen und was uns am Brocken erwarten wird.
